Celtic Wedding Invitation

certainly one of my favourite documents or invitations for its overall look. Today’s luxury of leaving more white on a piece of paper wasn’t shared back in the day of writing on parchment or vellum when space was wasted money. It shows in the type of text they chose early on UNCIAL or half UNCIAL being all about the middle zone therefore saving space up, down and across, even at the expense of readability, why should they worry, they wouldn’t have to read it.

The impact of this kind of text is the overall look with it’s illuminated first letter right down to the last letter. Another benefit of this as a wedding invitation is that it is bound to the hard mulberry cover allowing the sender to have multiple pages, bring along to the wedding for example and you already have the order of service

If age is the theme, medieval, gothic or a ceremony in a castle, then this is the ideal opportunity to show off and set the scene for your future event.
